Veher Veher Advertising is a startup company in Santa Rosa, California . Here we take a closer look at how the Formula Design process was used to develop Veher's identity and branding strategy. Listen Veher came to Formula Design with only a name and an idea. They were going to use strategically placed LCD and Plasma screens as electronic billboards. The most unique aspect of their plan was targeting the hispanic market. Veher needed a brand that would communicate to both the hispanic market and the advertisers who wanted to reach them. Plan Formula Design knew the two markets were culturally diverse. We used Veher's knowledge of the hispanic market, and our own experience in advertising to come up with the focus of the brand. In spanish, Veher sounds like to see, and see became the brand's message. To make things even easier, the obvious symbol to communicate this message was an eye. Design The eye worked well culturally, but has been overused as a symbol, especially in the broadcast medium. We tried several different logos based on the eye, until we decided to tie the camera lens into the equation. The logo that blended the eye and the lens evolved into the final logo that Veher is now using. Inspire Ultimately, the Veher brand is about getting the message across visually. The colors, logo, content, and voice were all carefully chosen to work well on screen. Television is a powerful and engaging medium, but with all the competition out there, Veher needed to stand out in a crowd. Formula Design took the challenge head on. See? |
